Deadline reports that the actress is close to signing up to star in his new sci-fi movie Interstellar.
Inspired by relativity expert Kip S Thorne's theory about time travel and wormholes, the project will be fronted by Matthew McConaughey and will depict "a heroic voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding".
Produced by Christopher, Lynda Obst and Steven Spielberg and scripted by Jonathan Nolan, Interstellar is due to be released in regular and IMAX cinemas on November 7, 2014.
