Never one to miss the chance to capitalise on a bit of buzz, Marvel have ridden the wave of excitement following last night's Super Bowl trailer by releasing a new image from Iron Man 3.
The picture sees Rebecca Hall looking a bit beaten up as scientist Maya Hansen. (Nice dress though.)
The actress recently sang director Shane Black's praises, promising that he'll give us a good mix of light and dark in the upcoming threequel.
It was great. It was a fantastic experience," she said at the Television Critics Association press tour earlier this month. "[Shane] has got a really wonderful understanding of pulp. Of kind of that mainstream commercial movie, and also he has a great wit and intelligence, which adds a lot of spice to whatever he does. And it's sort of black… not to use an unfortunate [pun]!"
Asked how big the learning curve was jumping into Iron Man 3 Hall replied: "Huge. Huge. It was so outside of my realm of experience. And that was my main reason for wanting to do it. I’m always for that. If you’re not going on an adventure and finding out something new, what’s the point, really? I mean I don’t do it for any other reason!"
As for what she ended up loving about the experience, Hall remarked: "Humor and improv and sparring with wits. That’s really big on an Iron Man set, for obvious reasons. It’s Downey Jr.’s forte. And that was so much fun for me."
Iron Man 3 is released on April 26 in the UK, and May 3 in the US.
