His turn as Conan the Barbarian might've been questionable, but if rumours are true that hasn't stopped James Gunn from signing him up to play Drax The Destroyer in the director's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation.
According to Latino Review, a screen test last week has led to 'talks', meaning fellow contenders Isaiah Mustafa, Dave Bautista, and Brian Patrick Wade could all be out of luck.
If he's successful, we'll doubtless see more of those rippling muscles from Momoa, who'll join Chris Pratt on set when the movie starts shooting in June.
Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release on August 3, 2014.
