When it comes to the big screen, Hugh Jackman has been the most consistent player in the X-Men world.
But his incarnation as Wolverine could be about to come to an end.
The actor has revealed that following this year's The Wolverine, and next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past, he won't be committed to reprise the role of Logan in future projects.
Of course, that's not to say he won't.
The actor told The Hollywood Reporter: "First heard about [X-Men: Days of Future Past] around October or November [2012]. I was literally finishing The Wolverine and dreaming about lasagne, and about three weeks before the end, they told me. There was no way I was not going to be part of that."
The actor went on to reveal that he still hasn't read a finished screenplay, and has seen only a synopsis of about eight pages.
Jackman's second solo outing as the mutant anti-hero, The Wolverine, is currently in post-production ahead of its July 26 release.
