New Kick-Ass 2 Trailer & Behind The Scenes Videos

More profanity, violence and politically incorrect dialogue than you can shake a pair of nunchucks at… in can only be Kick-Ass 2.

The latest trailer for the movie, which Mark Millar has claimed is the best movie he's seen so far this year (not that he's biased at all), gives us an extended look at our heroes Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse's The Mother F**ker, who decides to become the world's first supervillain in order to avenge the death of his mobster father.

And talking of Mr Millar, he kindly posted these set visit videos featuring himself and the film's stars behind the scenes.

Jim Carrey, Clark Duke, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, and Olga Kurkulina also star in Kick-Ass 2, which will arrive in cinemas on August 14 in the UK, and August 16 in the US.

First Look! 300: Rise Of An Empire

If ever there was an appropriate use of the word 'epic', it's with regard to Noam Murro's 300 sequel.

The first trailer for the film sees Lena Heady's Queen Gorgo rally her Greek troops to battle against Eva Green's angry Persian naval commander Artemisia.

Sort of set at the same time as Leonides’ battle in the original, this story pits Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro).

As expected, there's lots of slo-mo, plenty of bloodshed and quite a bit of bare-chested nudity, too… not that we're in to that sort of thing, of course.

300: Rise Of An Empire hits cinemas next spring.

New Carrie Trailer Gives Us The Chills

A new international trailer for Carrie has landed this week, and it looks this film is shaping up to breathe some new life into one of our favourite Stephen King stories.

The remake starring Chloë Moretz (Kick Ass) and Julianne Moore (Hannibal) has some pretty big boots to fill (thanks to Brian De Palma), but while the original take on the novel is still awesome, Kimberly Peirce's adaptation looks set to explore the characters of Carrie and her mother in more depth.

There are a few familiar scenes that definitely made us squeal with anticipation, and all we can say is that Jean Grey ain't got nothing on this girl.

Carrie is set for release on 18 October 2013 in the US and 29 November 2013 in the UK

It’s shaping up to be pretty action packed, with the Silver Samurai dropping in for a bit of the ‘woah’ factor. Oh, and it also looks as if Logan might finally be relieved of his mutant ‘curse’.

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug - New Trailer AND Pictures

Our crush on Orlando Bloom began over 10 years ago, when we first saw him in a blond wig and pointy elf ears. And he looks just as good returning as intense elf Legolas in the second part of Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug.

We also get our first glimpse at Evangeline Lilly, who joins the cast as young elven warrior Tauriel, and a good and proper look at Benedict Cumberbatch's dastardly dragon, Smaug.

Martin Freeman reprises his role as Bilbo Baggins for the sequel, as he continues to support Dwarf king Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on his quest to reclaim the lost kingdom of Erebor.

Desolation is thought to be darker than last year's An Unexpected Journey, and more similar in tone to the Lord Of The Rings films.

We. Can't. Wait.

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug hits cinemas on 13 December 2013.

New Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Trailer

So Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief may not have been everyone's favourite movie of 2010, but we've got to say we're nonetheless intrigued by the sequel - not least because it stars two of our geeky favourites, Nathan Fillion and Anthony Head.

Plus, if the new trailer's anything to go by, there'll be action aplenty as Percy (Logan Lerman), Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario) and Grover (Brandon T Jackson) reunite to hunt for the Golden Fleece and battle their old foe Luke (Jake Abel).

Stanley Tucci, Douglas Smith, Leven Rambin, Missi Pyle, Yvette Nicole Brown and Mary Birdsong also star in the film, which hits cinemas on August 7.

Zod Scares In New Man Of Steel TV Spot

"No matter how violent, every action I take is for the greater good of my people."

Wow, that Zod is a bit of a monster.

Michael Shannon's villain takes centre stage in the latest Man Of Steel trailer, and it seems he'll go to any lengths to see Krypton rise again - with no regard whatsoever for the humans of Earth.

"He’s not a villain any more than any other general fighting to protect his people," Shannon said recently. "He doesn’t like to just hurt people and steal diamonds; he’s focused on being successful at his job. I think the way Terrence Stamp approached it – and this isn’t any kind of criticism of his performance – there was something kind of detached about it. Pure hatred, rage, whatever … I think this [interpretation] is more ambiguous."

We can't wait to see him face off against Superman in Man Of Steel.

Man of Steel hits cinemas on June 14.

First Look: About Time

King of the British rom-com, Richard Curtis has jumped aboard the sci-fi bandwagon.

The writer-director's latest flick About Time sees Bill Nighy (of course), Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley out of Harry Potter) and Rachel McAdams star as a father and son who are able to travel in time - with doubtless hilarious and sweet consequences that will probably tug at the old heartstrings a bit.

Though there are rules - like not shagging Helen of Troy, for instance.

First Look! Ender's Game

Fancy a darn good movie trailer?

Here you go.

The trailer for Gavin Hood's upcoming adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi bestseller has been released. And it's extremely explodey.

Asa Butterfield stars as the gifted young Ender, who lives in a world where the species’ future rests on the shoulders of adolescent soldiers, trained for combat.

Card is a touchy subject at the moment following controversy over his ridiculous homophobic views. DC Comics recently decided to put an issue of Superman which he'd written on hold following public outcry.

But nonetheless, the 1985 novel has a huge following and big things are expected from this blockbuster.

The star-studded cast also includes Ben Kingsley as Mazer Rackham, Harrison Ford as Hyrum Graff, Abigail Breslin as Valentine, Hailee Steinfeld as Petra Arkanian, Voila Davis as Gwen Anderson and Aramis Knight as Bean.

Ender’s Game hits cinemas on 25 October, 2013.

We can't help wondering why our fair capital city keeps getting a hammering on the big screen, though. What's Hollywood's problem with London, eh?

The Cumberbeast Talks Star Trek

There's still much mystery surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch's Star Trek villain John Harrison, with "Is he secretly really Khan?" being one of the biggest questions asked by the internet.

And while The Cumberbeast isn't spilling any secrets, he has been chatting about his character's impact on Kirk, Spock and the rest of the Enterprise crew.

The actor told SFX that former Starfleet employee Harrison is "a one-man weapon of mass destruction", adding that he destabilises Kirk's crew with sneaky cleverness and manipulation.

"As a psychological terrorist, he's someone who can plant an idea that's as vicious as a bomb and explode loyalties and expose relationships and try and turn people against one another to do his bidding," Cumberbatch explained.

"He really disrupts the unity aboard the ship, both physically and mentally. And he's a worthy adversary - there's a lot of shadow play going on with him and Kirk and Spock, Kirk primarily, but both of those characters - he knows how to manipulate them."

SO, not just a pretty face after all, eh?

The latest trailer for the movie, released on Tuesday, sees Chris Pine's Kirk face off against the velvet-voiced villain.

Star Trek Into Darkness will be released on May 9 in the UK, and May 17 in the US.
