Bleeding Cool reports that Screen Rant reports that the below image of a clipping from the unknown rag was posted on the NeoGaf forums.
The article claims that Gillan will take on the role of bikini-clad alien bounty hunter Angela, who shares Karen's fabulous flame red locks.
A Marvel insider said: "Karen will be stunning as the chief female villain of the movie. But she will have her work cut out as the role involves a lot of physical workouts and with a costume as revealing, she will have to be in top shape."
Whether the story proves to be true remains to be seen, but we're absolutely certain the gorgeous Scot will pull off the part - and the outfit.
Production on the film kicks off soon, while Guardians of the Galaxy is set to hit cinemas on August 1st, 2014.
