So it's an actual proven fact that there isn't a human being alive who's not at least a little bit in love with Dame Helen Mirren.
And today, the actress and all-round legend has given us yet more reason to adore her.
Mirren has said it's time we saw a female Time Lord pilot the Tardis.
In an interview with The AP, Mirren was asked to comment on one bookie putting her at 25/1 odds of landing the coveted role.
"Oh, please - I would put much longer odds on it than that," she quipped, but went on to express her opinion that it is "absolutely time" for a woman to play the Time Lord.
"I'm so sick of that man with his girl sidekick," she declared. "I could name at least ten wonderful British actresses who would absolutely kill in that role."
But former Doctor Who companion Arthur Darvill is backing the Oscar-winner for the part.
"I suppose it could be a woman," Darvill told Anglophenia. "I don't know. I think it is a male part, though I think it's just about the person."
He added of Mirren: "I'd love to see Dame Helen do it - best of luck to whoever gets it, though."
Contenders thought to be in consideration to play the Time Lord include Rory Kinnear, Miranda Hart (who called the rumour "hilarious"), Ben Daniels and Samuel West, while Domhnall Gleeson (speculation dismissed as "not true" by the actor), Daniel Kaluuya and Dominic Cooper (who says he's heard "nothing of it") are all thought to be in the frame too… along with every other British actor and actress alive ever.
