Those who follow GG♥SF on Twitter (and if you don't, what the hell are you waiting for? Forget the rest of this post and have at it!) will know that we're big fans of a period drama. Dancing on the Edge has us in all sorts of excitement at the moment. And another addiction of ours is the wonderfully classy soap opera Downton Abbey.
So imagine our delight when we heard that the series is set to become a comic book. Oh, how we love it when things that we like smush together to become a thing we like even more.
Lady Almina: The Real Downton Abbey comes from Bluewater as part of their Female Force series, and will tell the tale of the somewhat scandalous life of Lady Almina, the real-life inspiration behind the show.
Saucy.
Writer Michael Troy said: "I've always had a fondness for snooty British aristocracy and scandal - so this one was a guilty pleasure to work on for sure."
As far as we're concerned, this is one pleasure that's not guilty in the slightest.
With art by Giuseppe Latanza and a cover by Philip Horton, the book will be available digitally and can be ordered from Comic Book Flea Market.
