What's the Doctor's greatest secret?
That, fellow Whovians, is the question we must ask ourselves as we hurtle ever closer to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.
Speaking to Radio Times, Steven Moffat has revealed that the Time Lord's most guarded mystery will be in jeopardy as the series returns.
"We'll be up in the air, we're under the water, we're on a fantastic alien planet, we're back in time [and] we're forward in time," he said. "The Doctor's greatest secret is in jeopardy."
But sadly, The Moff is determined to keep schtum when it comes to revealing exactly what the episodes will entail, explaining he wants fans to concentrate on the upcoming eight-episode run due to hit screens this Easter.
"I don't want people to get bored just yet," he elaborated. "So let's just wait and get our next eight episodes out of the way before we start talking about it.
"I'm mostly excited [about the anniversary], a little bit nervous and aware of trying not to let people down."
Let us down, Mr Moffat? As if you ever could.
Doctor Who will return to BBC One on Saturday 30th March.
