Ever since the Beeb announced its decision to axe Merlin, we've been wandering what would take its place in that all-important autumnal Saturday night slot.
Well, now we know.
13-part series Atlantis comes from Misfits creator Howard Overman and Merlin co-creators Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps, and looks set to fulfil our need for good-old fashioned fantasy drama.
The series synopsis states: "The city of Atlantis is a mysterious, ancient place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants.
"It's into this strange, compelling realm that the young Jason arrives and an amazing adventure begins, bringing to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation."
So far, we're kind of loving it. Particularly because we can see much opportunity for shirtlessness, and you know we love that kind of thing. #ShirtlessJason, anyone?
Atlantis is due to start filming in Wales and Morocco in April, a cast is yet to be announced.
