Today, we made our way to London's proper posh Dorchester Hotel to witness a veritable love-in between Robert Downey Jr, his co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Rebecca Hall, Sir Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, writer/director Shane Black and co-writer Drew Pearce.
The Downey was as dapper, charming and hilarious as you'd imagine, as he fielded questions from a room full of journalists about the third film in Marvel's Armoured Avenger trilogy, the difficulty in following The Avengers, his reunion with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director Black, and… erm… his fitness regime (or lack thereof).
Sir Ben Kingsley, meanwhile, discussed his warm welcome to the Marvel family, Shane Black talked about his ambitions for the film and following in Jo Favreau's footsteps, and Gwyneth Paltrow graciously revealed her family enjoyed the film when one journalist broke the 'no personal questions' ban… tut-tut.
All in all, it was a delightful way to spend our lunchtime, and the perfect preparation for the screening tonight.
