So You Think You Could Be A Geeky Girl?

Do you spend half your time with your face buried in a comic book? Are you pant-wettingly excited about seeing Iron Man 3? Have you ever soberly sung along to the Once More With Feeling at the top of your voice on public transport without embarrassment or shame? Then you might be who we're looking for.

After over three years spent conquering the blogosphere, we're admitting defeat. We're tired. Geeky Girls Love Sci-Fi has grown into a bit of a behemoth and the three of us need help (and sleep), so we're looking to expand the team.

We need someone to wow us (and our readers) with a fantastic turn of phrase and general expertise in the world of geek. You don't need to be based in the UK, but blogging experience is important, as is the ability to charm the pants off a PR and a general obsession with social media. You will need to have superb writing skills, fantastic feature ideas, a slightly silly disposition and be able to pen three to four posts per week for the website. Being a little bit grumpy and pervy also helps.

Unfortunately we can't offer any payment, but for regular contributors there’ll be opportunities to attend screenings, cover conventions and other events, conduct interviews with geekdom’s great and good, and review the latest cinema releases, DVDs, comics and books. In short, the free stuff makes up for it. Oh, and we don't have an office so you'll be able to write at home in your pyjamas, which is surely a bonus in anybody’s book.
