McAvoy Talks X-Men: Days Of Future Past
Posted on 07:02 by rajrani
James 'Yummy' McAvoy is a bit all over the place at the moment, which is no bad thing as far as we're concerned.
From Macbeth to Welcome To The Punch, Trance and Neverwhere, we're getting ourselves a good fix of McAvoy goodness. The bonus, of course, being that he's doing all sorts of interviews and spilling all sorts of beans about X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
Speaking to Digital Spy, and sporting a rather dashing beard, the actor said: "It is going to be a film in which Charles has to go through a lot of heavy stuff, I think probably he'll pass through the crucible in this movie."
Of course, after the ending of First Class, we know we'll see Professor X in his trademark wheelchair for the sequel, but will he have gone bald at this point? "I don't know yet," admitted McAvoy. "I'm going to find out soon."
Meanwhile, rumours that Alan Cumming will reprise the role of Kurt 'Nightcrawler' Wagner in the next big screen X-outing have been denied.
During an interview with Heat Radio, McAvoy had suggested that the X2 actor would return, saying: "You got me, [Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender,] Nicholas Hoult will be back, and he's just blossoming massively over [in America]," he said.
"Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Alan Cumming, Peter Dinklage I hear mentioned - I don't know if that's happening - 'Huge' Jackman is coming by, he's massive, 7'5″ and muscly."
According to ComingSoon.net's sources, the mention was simply a slip of the tongue.
Boo.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will debut on July 18, 2014.
