These are the words of Joss 'The Great' Whedon, who went to great pains to introduce a new Iron Man suit in The Avengers Assemble, replacing the triangular version of Iron Man 2 with the classic circle - and in mid-air, no less.
He told Empire last year: "Marvel said, 'We like to see the suits evolve,' and I said, Great! Then you're going back to the circle because the triangle is ass'. I'm a classicist. The circle has meaning, the triangle does not."
But it seems that Marvel have decided to change it up once more…
A sneak peek at the new armour for Iron Man 3 shows the Mark XXXIII, an Enhanced Energy Suit dubbed Silver Centurion and the Mark XL, a Hyper Velocity Suit nicknamed Shotgun featuring a weird rectangular chest plate.

Of course, given that the film will feature what looks to be a gajillion Iron Men as Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) faces off against Ben Kingsley's villainous Mandarin, we don't quite yet know which suit the man himself will don. But nevertheless, we live by the words of Whedon - the triangle, friends, is arse (well... we are Brits after all).
Should the triangular armour survive to see The Avengers Assemble 2, will Whedon allow it to live? A tiny part of us would kind of love to see a battle of wills between The Great Whedon and Marvel play out on screen.
In other Iron Man armour news, a new new TV spot sees Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) try on the suit for size, prompting speculation over whether we'll see the character take on her comic book alter-ego Rescue in the movie.
Iron Man 3 will be released on April 26 in the UK, and May 3 in the US.
