Berry will of course reprise the role of Ororo Munroe, aka Storm, but whether it'll be a big part or a small cameo has yet to be determined.
She told Access Hollywood: "I’m in. I think I'm in.
"I am excited. I love Storm. That's one of my favourite characters that I've played. And people love that character as well."
Director Bryan Singer, meanwhile, tweeted: "Couldn't be more excited that #HalleBerry has joined the cast of #XMen #DaysofFuturePast. Hopefully she can improve the weather in Montreal."
Here's hoping that Singer gives Storm the chance to get stuck in with her powers.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit cinemas on July 18, 2014.
