The actress revealed the suspected return when questioned about the possibility by Palm Beach Illustrated.
When asked how she imagines an older Leia, she joked: "Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home.
"I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle," she continued.
Fisher went on to joke that she would still be wearing her famous outfits from the original trilogy.
"The bagel buns and the bikini, because probably she has sundowners syndrome. At sundown, she thinks that she's 20-something. And she puts it on and gets institutionalised."
We suspect this news will be like marmite. Some will love the prospect of Skywalker-centric sequels - others, not so much. Us? We're firmly on the fence until we find out what Abrams has in store.
Disney's Star Wars Episode 7 is expected to hit cinemas in 2015.
