We think we can say with certainty that the world agrees that Dredd 3D was one of the best films of 2012.
So good, in fact, that we want more.
Well, Karl Urban has some good news for us.
In an interview with Collider, the actor revealed that a sequel could happen, urging fans to be vocal in their support for a follow-up.
"Interestingly enough, I did have breakfast with Alex Garland this morning. It's not off the agenda," he said.
"Clearly everyone has woken up to the fact that an audience has found this movie and loves it. It's entirely possible, and if people want to see another installment then they should be vocal about that, because it can happen.
"The power of fandom can resurrect projects. In fact, that's what happened with Star Trek. They weren't going to do a third season until fans did a letter-writing campaign and they continued that series."
So, this is us being vocal: MORE DREDD! MORE DREDD! MORE DREDD! Hm... maybe we should just make a meme.
Whether the movie happens or not, 2000 AD will launch a comic book sequel to the movie in September. Which is very cool news.
