As well he should, it looks bloody amazing.
The actor told Entertainment Weekly that we can expect cinema-worthy spectacle on the small screen.
"Marvel has such a lock on how to do really incredibly visual effects and stunts," he said. "We've got stuff on our show that I just don't think we've seen on TV before."
Gregg went on to reveal that resurrection of his character Agent Phil Coulson following his death in The Avengers Assemble will not "undermine" the events of the movie.
"I was really surprised to get that call and I wanted to make sure it didn't do anything to undermine what we achieved there," he explained.
"When Joss explained the mystery and how they planned to deal with it, with Agent Coulson being around, I was very sold."
Meanwhile, our buddies at Bleeding Cool may have put an end to the Luke Cage theories floating around the interweb.
In an interview with former Angel, and current SHIELD writer Jeffrey Bell, they managed to squeeze the following out of him regarding J. August Richards' character:
"Richards is so good, because we were looking for this character… I almost said his name. It’s not the one people are talking about."
When further pressed on whether, by "the one people are talking about" he meant Luke Cage, Bell said: "I’m going to say that’s an interesting Marvel character, but no."
And when asked whether the character comes from comics, he added: "You know, not necessarily. I mean, we’re going to draw from it, but Marvel has its thing, and we’re also going to be expanding forward, and this world is different since The Avengers. So I think there will be people showing up, some from the Marvel Universe and some not. But to commit to anything more would be telling."
So, there you go people. But if Richards isn't Cage, who the hell is he?
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC in the fall. It's still not known whether a UK broadcaster has picked up the series.
