Following speculation that Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot would see Kal-El sent to Earth for safety because of a genetic anomaly, Russell Crowe has set the record straight.
Superman's origin, of course, sees him dispatched off Krypton as a child, that he might survive the planet's imminent destruction.
And that's exactly what will happen in Man of Steel, cementing Clark Kent's existance as the last living Kryptonian...ish.
The actor posted: "Ahem... as I was saying... my name is Jor-El, of Krypton, as my planet dies I send to you my son, Kal. So he may live."
Well, that's that then.
