With James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender starring, X-Men: Days Of Future Past already has its full quota of delicious as far as we're concerned.
But director Bryan Singer isn't taking any chances.
He's convinced Hugh Jackman to reprise the role of Wolverine in the movie, following the actor's perfectly-pitched cameo in First Class.
Singer confirmed recent speculation on Twitter, posting: "I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come..."
There's no news yet on how big Jackman's role in the movie will be.
Meanwhile, Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart are also said to have signed up, but Stewart recently stated that he has yet to hear anything about the project and has not officially put pen to paper.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past is due for release on July 18, 2014, with production slated to begin in early 2013.
Jackman will next be seen in his X-Men role in The Wolverine, which is released on July 25, 2013 in the UK and on July 26, 2013 in the US
