Craig Zobel is on board to direct the movie based on Robert C O'Brien's 1974 novel. The science fiction thriller follows a young woman who believes she is the sole survivor of a nuclear war, only to discover a scientist who has also survived.
Seyfried will play the lead character, Ann, while Ejiofor is in the role of scientist Loomis.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pine will play a third survivor who doesn't appear in the original story - apparently, his appearance "complicates matters".
