Marc Webb Tweets Mysterious Spider-Man Teaser

What might the 32nd President Of The United States have to do with the plot of The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

That's not a rhetorical question. We're genuinely asking, we have absolutely no idea.

But there's got to be a purpose behind Marc Webb's mysterious tweet - a collage of Franklin D Roosevelt accompanied by the message Day 12 #thepassage.

This isn't the first intriguing image the director has posted to tease fans. Day 11's image of some stern looking FBI agents was accompanied by the hashtag #knockknock, while the third day of shooting gave us an image of what looks to be a cooler locker at a morgue accompanied by the message #happybirthday.

So what does it all mean? Any guesses, people?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will arrive in cinemas on May 2, 2014.
